A legacy semiconductor is a semiconductor that uses non-advanced processes in analog devices, power ICs, optical devices, sensors, and discrete devices, mostly used in the industrial equipment fields such as automobiles, energy development, and infrastructures (B to B). Although nodes become 40 nm or larger in 200 mm and 300 mm wafers, investment in the manufacturing equipment is currently considered high mainly in the Chinese market.
